On the morning of June 13th, 2020, the inaugural meeting and the first member congress of the new social class association in Zhengdong New District was successfully held in Zhengdong New District Planning Exhibition Hall. Ren Xiang, Chairman of China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform, was elected as the first president.
The meeting was presided over by Li Li, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Zhengdong New District and director of the Party and Mass Office. Chen Pingshan, member of the Party Working Committee of Zhengdong New District and director of the Management Committee of Wisdom Island Big Data Experimental Zone, and Meng Xiangling, deputy director of the People's Congress Working Committee of Zhengdong New District attended the meeting. The relevant responsible persons of 12 township (town) offices in Zhengdong New District, Economic Development Bureau, Social Affairs Bureau, Financial Services Bureau, Legislative Affairs Office, Market Supervision Bureau, Central Business District Management Committee, Wisdom Island Big Data Experimental Zone Management Committee and the representative comrades of the New Association attended the meeting.
The meeting listened to the Report on the Preparation of the New Social Class People's Association in Zhengdong New District, voted and adopted the Constitution of the New Social Class People's Association in Zhengdong New District (draft) and the Election Method of the New Social Class People's Association in Zhengdong New District (draft), and elected the first president, vice president and secretary general of the new social class people's association in Zhengdong New District.
On how to do a good job in the first new association, President Ren Xiang said that as a new group in the new era, our mission is glorious, but we also have great responsibilities. It is necessary to strengthen the guidance of the broad masses of new social strata to strengthen the study of political theory, professional skills and responsibility dedication, and insist on arming the mind with Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Under the guidance of the working policy of Zhengdong New District Management Committee, around the central work of promoting ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, ensuring improvement of people's livelihood and promoting the development of digital economy, we will actively participate in the construction of the East District, give full play to the advantages of people from new social strata, build true words and offer practical policies, and release great power for the healthy and stable economic development of the East District.
In the final concluding speech, Director Chen Pingshan instructed that the establishment of the new association of Zhengdong New District has opened a new chapter in the United front work of social strata in Zhengdong New District. In the future, the United Front Work Department of Zhengdong New District Committee will, as always, use the new association as a carrier to provide good support for the vast number of new social strata in the whole district, strengthen ideological and political guidance, make extensive contacts, listen to their hearts, reflect their demands and enhance consensus. Actively guide and participate in the economic development and social affairs of Zhengdong, innovate working methods, open up working channels, improve working level, and constantly consolidate the working situation of "great unity and unity". Inject a steady stream of vitality into the economic and social development of Zhengdong, and make Zhengdong New District Association "stand high, go far and run fast".
