Ren Xiang, vice president of the All-UK Henan Fellowship Association and chairman of the China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform, who was visiting the UK for government and enterprises, joined forces with his fellow British countrymen to collect epidemic prevention materials for his hometown Henan. On the evening of February 5th, he personally delivered a batch of materials from London to Zhengzhou when international flights were about to be cancelled due to the epidemic.

This batch of materials includes 10,000 disposable surgical masks donated by China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform to Zhengdong New District through Henan Charity Federation and 200 FFP2 masks donated by British Chinese Love Rescue Team to Henan Provincial People's Hospital. With the government's great attention and active coordination, it took only 14 hours for this batch of materials to take off from London, clear customs, transport and transfer to Zhengdong New District and Henan Provincial People's Hospital. The green passage of the airport, the pick-up and drop-off by the government's special personnel and the personal reception by the relevant leaders are unprecedented in Henan during this critical period.

Ren Xiang said, "February 4th is the last flight from London to Zhengzhou, so we must deliver the goods to our hometown in person before the flight stops. I chose to return to Zhengzhou from England at the most severe moment of the epidemic situation, because I firmly believe that under the leadership of governments at all levels in Henan Province, the epidemic will soon be defeated. This is also my initial intention and mission of returning to China. "
