On the evening of December 18, 2019, the 2020 New Year's reception of Zhengzhou Municipal People's government was held in Yonghe Earl international hotel. Mayor Wang Xinwei attended the reception and delivered a speech. City leaders gathered with foreign friends, overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan working in Zheng to welcome the new year and talk about development. In his speech, Wang Xinwei extended a warm welcome to all the guests attending the reception, extended New Year greetings and good wishes to all the foreign friends, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots working in Zheng, and expressed sincere thanks for their positive contributions to the development of Zhengzhou.
Wang Xinwei said that 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, and also the key year for Zhengzhou to promote the high-quality construction of the National Central City, win in building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, and achieve the first Centennial goal. Under the strong leadership of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, Zhengzhou has made great efforts to catch up with and surpass, put forward the strategic development layout of "strengthening in the East, moving in the south, building in the west, keeping in the north, optimizing in the middle and connecting with the outside", implemented the innovation driven strategy in depth, and realized the sustainable and healthy development of economy and society. In 2020, Zhengzhou will speed up the construction of "urban potential" of large transportation, opening up, industry, culture and ecology, plan in depth to accelerate the construction of core demonstration areas for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, promote the high-quality development of Zhengzhou's economy and society, and the high-quality construction of national central cities, so as to ensure the successful completion of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and the 13th five year plan.
