On the afternoon of June 13th, a group of seven members, including Li Zhuoyu, vice chairman of Zhengzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Han Li, deputy researcher, visited the Sino-British Science and Technology Innovation Platform to conduct research and guidance work on building a home for overseas Chinese and serving returned overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, which was warmly received by Ren Xiang, chairman of the platform.
On behalf of the platform, Chairman Ren Xiang first welcomed and thanked the leaders of the Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese for coming to the platform to investigate and take the initiative to care about the entrepreneurship of returned overseas Chinese. He briefly reported the original intention and growth status of the platform to the visitors. Mr. Ren said that the establishment of Sino-British science and technology innovation platform is to continuously integrate the innovation and development of Sino-British bilateral high-tech projects, talents, intellectual property rights and capital, and actively promote the construction of the "Returned Overseas Chinese to serve the country and shine in the Central Plains" project for outstanding overseas students and talents, so as to build a solid bridge of scientific and technological innovation, exchange, cooperation and transformation between Henan and Britain. Since its landing in Henan Province in 2018, it has promoted one provincial key large-scale project, two large-scale frontier projects and 18 excellent reserve projects, and achieved remarkable results with the enthusiastic care of the municipal party committee and municipal government and the Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. In 2019, the platform will persist in striving for innovation, actively implement the relevant spirit of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, strengthen the contact and attraction of overseas high-tech, talents and projects, and accelerate the establishment and promotion of overseas offshore innovation institutions through diversified and multi-dimensional innovative investment and talent introduction mode, so as to give full play to the bridgehead role of high-quality overseas science and technology projects and talent introduction, and accelerate the construction of national central cities in order to promote the high-quality economic development of Zhengzhou.
After listening to President Ren's introduction, Chairman Li Zhuoyu affirmed the achievements and progress of Sino-British science and technology innovation platform. Chairman Li Zhuoyu said that the cooperation between China and Britain has broad prospects and obvious advantages. The Sino-British scientific and technological innovation platform has achieved remarkable results in terms of work and model innovation, and has unique conditions, especially in attracting investment and attracting talents. Zhengzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese established overseas Chinese home here in the hope of better solving some practical difficulties for returned overseas Chinese and their relatives, and serving their innovation and entrepreneurship. It is also hoped that the platform can adhere to the requirements of the times of "Do not forget your initiative mind, keep in mind the mission", take overseas Chinese as a bridge, actively build a platform, deepen the cooperation between China and Britain in science and technology projects, actively give full play to its own advantages, and contribute to the development of high-tech industries, cultural innovation and technical exchanges and cooperation in Zhengzhou and even Henan Province.
