Hai Tianyou, Trade and Investment Consul of the British Consulate General in Wuhan, and his party visited the Sino-British Technology Innovation Platform

On the afternoon of February 3rd, 2021, Chris Hay, trade and investment consul of the British Consulate General in Wuhan, and his party visited the Sino-British science and technology innovation platform, and held a discussion on deepening the cooperation between Henan Province and Britain in science and technology innovation and related industries, building a high-level open innovation platform, expanding the open cooperation space and promoting the high-quality economic development of the two places. Chairman Ren Xiang of the platform, CEO Wei Dan of China-UK Biomedical Innovation Sharing Accelerator and project director Damon received Consul Hai Tianyou and his party. Lin Ling, Senior Trade and Investment Officer of British Consulate General in Wuhan, Ma Qingyun, Chief Representative of China Office of British Welsh Government, and Jaco, General Manager of Xinxiang Baihe Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. attended the symposium.

Accompanied by President Ren Xiang, Consul Hai Tianyou and his party visited the platform China-UK biomedical innovation sharing accelerator project, and highly praised the platform for continuously promoting multi-dimensional innovative cooperation between China and Britain in biomedicine, electronic information, optoelectronic industry and so on. Afterwards, the two sides held a discussion in the platform lecture hall.

President Ren Xiang deeply integrated into the "the belt and road initiative" from the 14th Five-Year Plan of Henan Province, accelerated the introduction of the long-term goal of building an open and strong province, and shared with the British participants a series of innovative measures carried out by the platform around international exchanges and cooperation between China and Britain to promote the high-quality economic development of the two places.

Consul Haiyou fully affirmed the work and efforts made by the platform to pragmatically promote multi-industry innovation cooperation between China and Britain, and said that the sustained growth of the total value of import and export trade in Henan Province was closely related to the government's strong policy support, open platform construction and the improvement of business environment. The British Consulate General in Wuhan is willing to further strengthen the important role of Sino-British science and technology innovation platform as a third-party innovation institution in the cooperation and development between Henan and Britain, jointly push the international innovation cooperation between the two places to a new level, deepen the economic and trade cooperation between the two places, rely on project cooperation, strengthen scientific and technological exchanges, share development achievements and achieve win-win cooperation. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further deepening pragmatic cooperation between the two places.

After the symposium, President Ren Xiang specially presented Master Miao Wei, Consul of Hai Tianyou, with the embroidery work "Five Cattle Map". On the occasion of beginning of spring in 2021, he expressed his best wishes for the Year of the Ox to the visiting British Consulate General in Wuhan, and at the same time implied that the platform would make new achievements in international trade, scientific and technological innovation and other cooperation between Henan Province and Britain through continuous efforts and pragmatism.
