On August 2nd, the China-UK Medical Elite Talent Exchange Program successfully passed its halfway point. Participating faculty and students shared encouraging feedback, unanimously praising the program highly. This exchange program not only provided students with an international learning platform but also achieved significant results in academic, living, and cultural experiences.
Students generally expressed that the program's learning arrangements were extremely rich and highly practical. From practical clinical skills exercises to laboratory visits and operations, to unique language courses and fruitful case studies, every aspect benefited the students greatly. The program employed a problem-based learning approach and project-based teaching methods, encouraging group learning and faculty-student interaction, creating a lively classroom atmosphere that made learning more interesting and engaging.
Particularly noteworthy is that through close contact with international medical education, students discovered that Chinese medical education has aligned with international standards and is at the forefront globally. In terms of living arrangements, the school also provided meticulous care for the students. Meals not only met students' basic needs but also offered a diverse range of British dining experiences, such as afternoon tea and fish and chips, allowing students to fully experience foreign cultures. The school also adjusted the menu promptly based on student feedback, adding Chinese food options so students could enjoy the taste of home even in a foreign land.
In their spare time, the school also arranged a variety of outings, leading students to appreciate the natural scenery and cultural landscapes of Cardiff, Bath, and other places. This weekend, the students will continue their cultural journey in Oxford, undoubtedly creating unforgettable memories.
