Driven by the global wave of technological innovation, cooperation between China and the UK in the field of technological innovation continues to deepen. On August 29, Arvind Norris, Trade and Investment Consul of the British Consulate General in Wuhan and the UK Department for Business, Trade and Trade, visited Henan Province to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of technological innovation, biomedicine, education, and cultural creativity. Ren Xiang, founder and chairman of the China-UK Technology and Innovation Platform, accompanied him on the visit.
Consul Norris first visited the China-UK Technology and Innovation Platform, where he learned in detail about the platform's development, future direction, and recent key projects such as the cooperation project between Cardiff University and Xinxiang Medical University, the Regenerative Medicine Translational Center, and the International Joint Laboratory. Yuan Lei, Dean of the International Education College of Xinxiang Medical University, and Liu Qianxu, Executive Director of Zhengdong New Area Medical and Health Group, along with other Chinese representatives, held in-depth exchanges with Consul Norris on cooperation between China and the UK in the fields of biomedicine and education.

After the visit, Consul Noanwen visited the Microsoft "Cloud and Mobile Technology Incubation Program" Central Plains Longzihu Digital Economy Entrepreneurship and Innovation Incubation Center. He then held a discussion with Li Jianhua, Investment Manager of Henan New Development Cultural Tourism Group Co., Ltd., and relevant platform leaders at the incubation center. Using Microsoft as a typical case, they deeply analyzed the operational model of leading global companies landing in Henan and explored the potential for leading British companies to enter Henan. In addition, they discussed the integration path between cultural and creative projects such as Pop Mart and the British creative industries, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Following the meeting, Consul Noanwen visited the Regenerative Medicine Translational Center and the International Joint Laboratory, as well as a Pop Mart store, to further investigate the development of Henan Province's biomedical and cultural and creative toy industries. Afterwards, she experienced the "Ruyi·Longhu City Water Night Tour" project, immersing herself in the charm of Central Plains culture amidst dazzling lights and shadows.
This visit not only deepened the understanding and mutual trust between China and the UK in the field of technological innovation, but also injected new impetus into international exchange and cooperation in Zhengzhou and even Henan Province. The China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform will continue to play its role as a bridge and link, actively responding to the global trend of scientific and technological innovation cooperation, and promoting cooperation and exchange between China and the UK in more fields and at deeper levels.
