On December 10, 2024, Platform Chairman Ren Xiang visited the Zhengzhou Newspaper Group and held in-depth discussions with Lu Shihai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Zhengzhou Newspaper Group and President of the Zhengzhou Daily, on "Promoting the Overseas Dissemination of Central Plains Culture with Ancestor Worship as the Core."
At the meeting, Secretary Lu first introduced the important role played by the Zhengzhou Newspaper Group in the Ancestor Worship Ceremony at the Yellow Emperor's Hometown, and emphasized the importance of overseas ancestor worship activities in enhancing overseas Chinese's sense of identity with traditional culture and spreading Chinese culture to the world. Secretary Lu pointed out that inland cities face certain difficulties in external publicity, therefore it is necessary to utilize external platforms and channels, combining online and offline methods to continuously conduct cultural output and solve the problem of how to tell China's story well.
Platform Chairman Ren Xiang then shared the situation of the UK branch venue of the Ancestor Worship Ceremony over the years and innovative practices in overseas cultural dissemination. Mr. Ren pointed out that to address key issues such as what to disseminate, how to disseminate it, and how technology can empower dissemination, it is necessary to focus on cultural adaptability and utilize diplomatic and commercial cooperation strategies, emphasizing image building and cultural resonance in overseas communication. Mr. Ren also introduced the practices and innovations of overseas ancestor worship cultural exchanges, including adapting the content to the reading habits and thinking patterns of overseas audiences, focusing on IP development, such as the "Yellow Emperor's Business Trip" series and "Classic of Mountains and Seas" AR books, and considering commercial operations, such as IP licensing and the development of cultural and creative products.
Secretary Lu expressed strong agreement and firm support for the cooperation between the two parties, urging them to innovate together, create highlights, and add luster to next year's ancestor worship activities.
