On the morning of December 26, Ren Xiang, Chairman of the Platform and Executive Dean of the Henan Digital Economy Industry Innovation Research Institute, along with Vice Chairmen Geng Hui and Liu Dongdong, and Project Director Wang Xi, visited the Zhengzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. They held discussions on deepening cooperation and jointly exploring new paths for Zhengzhou's opening up and international cooperation. Liu Yatao, Director of the Zhengzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Xuebing, First-Level Investigator, Xu Yang, Director of the Department of International Development and Cooperation, and other relevant department heads warmly received the delegation. Wang Youyou, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Henan University of Technology, accompanied the delegation and participated in the discussions.
Chairman Ren Xiang first reported to Director Liu on the platform's industrial layout and development plan. He stated that the platform is committed to building an international innovation institution for talent, project, and capital exchange between China and the UK, introducing advanced overseas science and technology, high-level talent, and research achievements to Henan, and supporting Henan's high-quality and international development through offshore incubators and international capital teams. Currently, the platform has expanded into multiple fields including biomedicine, digital economy, cultural trade and tourism, smart agriculture, and the Internet of Things. Through initiatives such as overseas ancestral worship ceremonies in the UK and the export of short dramas, it innovatively tells Zhengzhou's story overseas, promoting the continued development of "International Zhengzhou."
Director Liu highly praised the platform's development, believing it to be strategically positioned and well-structured, laying a solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides. Director Liu stated that Zhengzhou is currently committed to enhancing its international service capabilities, requiring the coordinated efforts of multiple departments. He revealed that the Foreign Affairs Office is actively exploring new forms and methods to innovate Zhengzhou's foreign affairs work, developing new productive forces within the high-quality development of "International Zhengzhou." Director Liu also introduced the Foreign Affairs Office's efforts and achievements in promoting the development of sister cities.
Subsequently, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as enhancing Zhengzhou's international service capabilities, developing sister city relationships, and the development of the short drama industry.
This meeting deepened the understanding and trust between the platform and the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee's Foreign Affairs Office, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
