On September 9, 2025, a research team from the Chengdu Overseas-Educated Scholars Association, led by Fu Jun, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Chengdu Municipal Government, visited Zhengzhou to investigate the employment and entrepreneurship situation of returned overseas students. Zhao Xuchang, First-Level Investigator of the United Front Work Department of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, Hou Yijia, Director of the Secretariat of the Zhengzhou Overseas-Educated Scholars Association, and Ren Xiang, Rotating Vice President and Chairman of the China-UK Technology and Innovation Platform(CNUKTIP), received the team.
The research team visited the Zhengzhou Overseas-Educated Scholars Association's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, the Microsoft "Cloud and Mobile Technology Incubation Program" Central Plains Longzihu Digital Economy Entrepreneurship and Innovation Incubation Center, and the Biomedical Innovation Sharing Accelerator Project under the CNUKTIP, gaining an in-depth understanding of Zhengzhou's practices and achievements in supporting overseas returnees' entrepreneurship, digital economy incubation, and biomedical transformation.
Deputy Minister Fu Jun highly praised the work of the Zhengzhou Overseas-Educated Scholars Association and the CNUKTIP in promoting international scientific and technological cooperation and serving the entrepreneurship of returned overseas students, and expressed hope that Chengdu and Zhengzhou would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future. The CNUKTIP will continue to serve as an international bridge, actively building a cross-regional, high-level innovation ecosystem. We firmly believe that under the new framework of collaboration and resource sharing between the two cities, overseas students will gain a broader stage for growth, injecting continuous international wisdom and vitality into the high-quality economic development of both regions.
