On September 18, 2025, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a salon themed "Remembering History, Casting the Soul with Light and Shadow," jointly hosted by the Zhengzhou Alumni Association of Zhengzhou University of Engineering and Technology and the Zhengdong New Area New Social Stratum Association (New Social Stratum Association), and organized by the Henan Innovation Biotechnology Research Institute under the China-UK Technology and Innovation Platform(CNUKTIP), successfully concluded. Through a variety of formats including film screenings, exchanges, and visits, the event deeply integrated historical heritage, alumni camaraderie, and technological responsibility, forging a powerful force to carry forward the spirit of the War of Resistance Against Japan. The atmosphere at the event was solemn and enthusiastic.
Wang Lan, President of the Zhengzhou Alumni Association of Zhengzhou University of Engineering and Technology, Ren Xiang, President of the Zhengdong New Area New Social Stratum Association and Chairman of the CNUKTIP and Geng Hui, Director of the Henan Innovation Biotechnology Research Institute, delivered speeches. They not only elaborated on the contemporary significance of inheriting the spirit of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, but also expressed that the Alumni Association and the New Social Stratum Association will continue to play a bridging role and actively organize more meaningful, valuable, and influential activities.



Following this, the guests visited the research institute's 24-hour transparent cell preparation laboratory, patent achievement display area, and other core areas. They praised the GMP-compliant laboratory and advanced equipment, deeply impressed by the platform's commitment to "protecting health through technology."
The film screening was a highlight of the event. During the screening of the documentary "Victory," the guests were captivated by the screen, reliving the hardships and perseverance of the War of Resistance against Japan. The historical details captured on film strengthened their belief in "remembering history and honoring martyrs," and the solemn atmosphere resonated with everyone present.
The interactive sessions demonstrated high levels of enthusiasm. The anti-Japanese war knowledge quiz was particularly lively. Guests answered the mandatory questions calmly, while in the buzzer-beater round, everyone eagerly raised their hands and quickly answered, eliciting continuous applause and cheers, deepening their understanding of history in a fun and engaging way.

Secretary Chai Shenggao, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism Studies and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association of Zhengzhou University of Engineering and Technology, summarized and shared: The Communist Party of China was the first to raise the banner of the War of Resistance Against Japan and played a pivotal role in the war. It was the organizer, advocate, and maintainer of the anti-Japanese united front, persisting in the all-out war of resistance and uniting all forces that could be united, making significant contributions to the war effort.

Throughout the event, the service details provided by the Henan Innovation Biotechnology Research Institute, under the CNUKTIP, received high praise from the guests.
