In the golden autumn season, the China-UK Technology and Innovation Platform(CNUKTIP) once again hosted a grand gathering of intellectual exchange. On the afternoon of October 23, a salon event themed "Reshaping the Future – Sustainable Health," co-hosted by the Institute of Innovative Biotechnology and the Zhengdong New Area New Social Stratum Association, was successfully held in the lecture hall of the CNUKTIP. This event featured two authoritative experts, Dr. Wei Dan and Director Xing Bao, who explored the cutting-edge trends in cell technology and health management with the attendees, bringing an academic feast that blended knowledge and practice.

Dr. Wei Dan, in her presentation titled "Cellular Keys: Unlocking Health Throughout the Life Cycle," systematically explained the findings of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, the correlation mechanism between cell health and age, and shared practical application cases in fields such as diabetes and cancer, prompting frequent questions and interactions from the audience. Dr. Wei Dan shared that subjective physical reactions after health maintenance are a factor in medical evaluation, but due to numerous influencing factors, such as mood and sleep, they are not used as the primary criterion for judging the effectiveness of applications. Cells are not a panacea, but the application of cyclical cell therapy is a crucial and scientifically based health support method. Maintaining good lifestyle habits, a positive mental state, and a healthy diet is also essential.

Director Xing Bao focused on knee joint health, presenting "From Knee to Hope: The Reconstructive Power of Cell Technology." He used an easy-to-understand approach to popularize professional knowledge, vividly analyzing the advantages of stem cell technology compared to traditional therapies through real-life cases, and providing helpful joint maintenance guidelines. In Henan Province, approximately 40,000 people undergo knee replacement surgery annually, and 10% of patients experience unexplained pain. Cell therapy, a less invasive and less destructive method, has shown significant effects, providing the best solution for extending the lifespan of knee joints for patients with knee degenerative diseases.

Director Sun Ge introduced the latest research progress of the Innovative Biological Research Institute: the establishment of the Henan Provincial Engineering Research and Technology Center for Drug Treatment of Refractory Lung Cancer in collaboration with Henan Provincial Cancer Hospital; obtaining the first Class I clinical trial approval for a cell drug in the province; and initiating a national Class I biological drug IND application. His presentation, through multiple real-life cases, received unanimous praise from the attendees. With the approval of the "Regulations on the Management of Clinical Research and Clinical Translational Application of New Biomedical Technologies (Draft)" by Premier Li Qiang, it is believed that cell biotechnology will usher in unprecedented development opportunities in the future.
The interactive sessions at the event were engaging and the establishment of the Innovative Cell Biology Club brought the atmosphere to a climax. Club members will enjoy benefits such as guidance on overseas study, employment, and entrepreneurship; direct access to top-tier medical resources; one-on-one expert health guidance; and offline salons.

From a shift in health concepts to an improvement in quality of life, cell health is not only a technological innovation but also a long-term investment in the future. As an important platform for Sino-British scientific and technological exchange, the CNUKTIP will continue to promote such high-level academic dialogues and facilitate international exchange and cooperation in cutting-edge health technologies. We believe that by building such an open innovation platform, we will accelerate the cross-border integration of cell biotechnology, inject new international perspectives and innovative momentum into the health industry, and help more people benefit from the forefront of global medical technology.
